Every year, we work closely with IQ to create new furniture schemes to incorporate LOFT’s latest products into their properties.

We’ve also noticed a definite increase in the types of furniture IQ are requesting. As well as student property staples such as dining tables and sofas, people are asking for extra accessories and outdoor furniture. The kind of finer details which can really make a house, a home.

Furniture replenishment contract

For a replenishment contract, being able to manage the logistics of delivering to sites successfully is arguably just as important as the furniture. It’s another reason IQ wanted to partner with LOFT, because of the value we add:

LOFT provides a dedicated account manager to IQ, giving them a single port of call for any questions or queries.
We are well located with large warehouses in Manchester and London, therefore able to quickly provide furniture to PBSA sites across the country

PBSA Replenishment Details

LOFT has partnered with IQ since 2017, in that time providing over 20,000 pieces of furniture across 80+ sites nationwide.

In a typical year, we work primarily over the summer period, sometimes on live sites, to provide a refurbishment programme ready for new students in September.

From July to August, LOFT creates a schedule of the developments we will be delivering and removing furniture from. Whether visiting the same property multiple days in a week or over the course of the months, we work with the IQ team to create a schedule that suits them.

Even though these timescales are incredibly tight and need specialist CSCS card-carrying installers, LOFT has been able to adapt to these requirements.

As well as replenishing furniture, LOFT also removes the old furniture, any packaging or waste created, to bring back to our warehouses. However, these aren’t just to be disposed of, avoiding the landfills has been part of LOFT’s efforts since day one…

Sustainable furniture replenishment

For a replenishment partnership, what’s done with the replaced furniture is half the story.

LOFT pride ourselves in our both our environmentally conscious furniture and our industry-leading removals process.

That’s why we’ve invested in our own in-house recycling centre, the LOFT Renewal Hub. This provides a robust facility to handle and process waste more efficiently. Allowing the removed furniture to be recycled at our facility, or donated to one of our charity partners if it is in a suitable condition.

This shared value of sustainability makes LOFT and IQ the perfect pairing.
