Spillages / stains should be tackled immediately; soak up any excess liquid by dabbing the area with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing. Weak soapy water will remove most stains. For dried on stains seek the help of a specialist upholstery cleaning company. Do not drag the chair or tilt back on the back two legs, as this can damage the legs. If bolts become loose, then tighten immediately.
