Brand new for 2020, The Mailbox is a stunning new Build to Rent scheme located in the centre of Stockport. Built on the site of the former Royal Mail sorting office, the new urban village features 117 apartments built around a stunning atrium. The building’s design brings in a new biophilic quality to the area with roof top gardens and a large living green wall, the largest living wall in the North of England. As the area’s first BTR scheme it set’s the benchmark for enhanced living. Offering all the amenities for its residents from car parking to pet friendly apartments, we were excited to be working with Rise Homes to furnish their new development and curate the apartments to reflect the premium amenities.

Having worked with Rise Homes on another BTR scheme in Manchester, The Depot, we were excited to be working with the developer again and on such a dynamic design. The development is part of Stockport’s Regeneration Scheme, which aims to include up to 3,500 new homes.

The ethos of the scheme is based on sustainability in an ultra-modern space with everything residents need on their doorstep. With this in mind, working with the client we curated the interior design of the apartments to be sympathetic to the building’s surroundings but also contemporary and modern for a young professional market. Keeping to a subtle colour palette of smoky grey’s and deep greens, we complimented the colours with polished black woodgrain textures and metal finishes.
